Cibo Matto is back! The band’s 2014 US tour will bring them to LPR on Valentine’s Day (2/14), the same day that they’ll release Hotel Valentine, their first new album since 1999’s millennium-capping Stereo ★ Type A .

Directed by Georgia, the video features Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori reveling in a hearty helping of blissful, psychedelic green screen madness.
 
The new album also features contributions from other guests, including Wilco’s Nels Cline and Glenn Kotche, Atoms for Peace and Red Hot Chili Peppers percussionist Mauro Refosco.
 
“Hotel Valentine is the cinematic bricolage of Yuka and me,” says Hatori. “Our medium is music. For me, making an album is like raising a child. We don’t know what kind of person (story) they will end up to be.”
