Yum’s The Word” is the only show that blends old-school fun with modern-day storytelling. Each month comedic storyteller Robin Gelfenbien hosts this unique event replete with Mad Libs, nostalgic candy and her homemade ice cream cakes.*

Ophira Eisenberg is a standup comic and host of NPR’s nationally syndicated comedy, trivia show Ask Me Another where she interviews and plays silly games with Sir Patrick Stewart, Taye Diggs, Awkwafina, Roxane Gay, Terry Crews, Jessica Walter, Josh Groban, Nick Kroll, Tony Hawk, George Takei, Sasha Velour, Ethan Hawke, Julia Stiles, Lewis Black, Uzo Aduba, Michael C. Hall and more. She also is a regular host and teller with The Moth and her stories have been featured on The Moth Radio Hour and in their best-selling books, including the most recent: Occasional Magic: True Stories About Defying the Impossible. Ophira’s own comedic memoir, Screw Everyone: Sleeping My Way to Monogamy was optioned for a feature film. She has appeared on Comedy Central, This Week At The Comedy Cellar, The New Yorker Festival, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, HBO’s Girls, Gotham Live, The Late Late Show, The Today Show, and VH-1. Shalewa Sharpe tells jokes. She developed her sly yet goofy style in Atlanta, where she was raised. Currently based in Brooklyn, she has joked on so many shows, festivals, and podcasts that in 2017 Time Out NY labeled her a “local fixture.” She has joked on HBO’s “2 Dope Queens” and Comedy Central’s “The New Negroes.” She got serious while playing the role of Yvonne in John Cameron Mitchell’s musical podcast “Anthem: Homunculus,” but then she went right back to joking in her solo show, “Don’t Reach In The Bag.” She has two albums of jokes: “Stay Eating Cookies” (2016) and “So You Just Out Here?” (2019).

Danny is the creator and host of The Day I Should Have, a limited-engagement storytelling series in NYC has run for 2 seasons. He is a Moth GrandSLAM winner and instead of following him on Instagram, he’d like it if you say hello when you see him.

Mark Pagán is an award-winning filmmaker, podcast producer, writer, and educator. His work and performances have been shown at festivals and shows worldwide including Slamdance Film Festival, Arizona International Film Festival, Panoply’s Family Ghosts, North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Charleston Comedy Festival, RISK!, The Moth, and Story Collider. He currently produces and hosts the award-winning podcast, Other Men Need Help.

Robin Gelfenbien is the self-proclaimed Ambassador of Fun and an NYC-based storyteller, writer and comedian. She’s a three-time Moth Story SLAM winner who has performed on PBS, RISK!, Mortified and countless other shows. She’s also shared the stage with Hannah Gadsby, Trevor Noah and more.

Robin is the Creator and Host of the storytelling series and podcast, “Yum’s the Word,” that features her homemade ice cream cakes. The show has been named a New York Times and Time Out New York Critic’s Pick. Guests have included Tim Gunn, Jason Biggs, Joy Behar and stars from “Orange is the New Black.”

New York Magazine called her solo show, “My Salvation Has a First Name: A Wienermobile Journey,” “the highlight of the Fringe” and Time Out New York gave it 4 stars.

She’s performed her original comedy songs at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and on Sirius Radio. She’s also been featured in Marie Claire magazine and she starred in a commercial directed by Spike Lee.
