The Gallery at LPR will host award-winning author/PBS producer Slash Coleman and a panel of failed love experts on July 16, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The event honors the release of Coleman’s memoir “The Bohemian Love Diaries” (Lyons Press) and will include performances by the author, special guests, a panel discussion on the cure for failed love, and a book signing.

“I was raised in an extremely off-beat environment by 8 artists and 1 teacher including a grandfather who was a dancer at the Moulin Rouge,” Coleman says. “Everything was solved creatively. I figured what better way to bring to light this epidemic of failed love then to assemble an expert panel to explore the topic.”

Renowned physical comedy duo The Donovan Ensemble will emcee the event. Panelists include: comedienne Sarah Elizabeth Greer (Winner of 2012 Best Comedy at United Solo), Ira Gamerman (host “Dangerously Unqualified: A Podcast About Love”), award-winning performance artist Emleigh Wolf as Umberto MacDougal, and photographer Mo Gelber and his blow-up girlfriend Rivka.

“The book industry has changed so much,” Coleman says. “Rather then doing traditional book signings on my book tour, I’m assembling different panels in each location on themes that are relevant to the book.”

Coleman’s national #bohoXO book tour will begin in New York and take him through 33 states over the next three months. In addition to being the author of “The Bohemian Love Diaries,” Coleman is a blogger for Psychology Today and a recipient of the 2013 Storytelling World Award and the 2012 United Solo Award. Over the past decade, he has produced work on PBS, has been a featured TEDTalks presenter, received a residency at the International Storytelling Center and appeared multiple times on NPR including the series, “How Artists Make Money.”
