BOOTIE – the greatest mashup dance party in the universe – is back, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! In honor of the day where everyone’s a bit Irish-ish, Bootie is proud to present the world’s first live mashup band, Smash-Up Derby. Voted “Best Cover Band” in San Francisco for three years, Smash-Up Derby is the house band at Bootie San Francisco. They’ll be hitting the stage at LPR at 11:30 PM with a special set of live mashups just for St. Paddy’s Day!
Also hailing from San Francisco will be party founders & DJs A Plus D, as well as Bootie SF resident DJ Dada, spinning the best mashups on the planet! And in honor of the holiday, they’ll even be throwing a few Irish mashups into the mix! Plus there will be a Midnight Mashup Show from New York City’s own Alejandro!
All this and FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people through the door! Don’t forget to WEAR GREEN!
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely o the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents, from New York to Hong Kong, Berlin to Rio. Voted “Best Club Night” for the past seven years, Bootie keeps your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party. Providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation — and free mashup CDs given away like candy — it’s a place where everyone is welcome.
