Stand Atlantic

Melodic Australian pop punk outfit Stand Atlantic rode a wave of well-crafted indie releases and years of hard touring to a pair of prominent label deals, the latter of which resulted in the 2018 release of their debut album, Skinny Dipping, on Hopeless Records. The band formed in Sydney in 2014 with an original lineup of singer/guitarist Bonnie Fraser, bassist David Potter, guitarist Arthur Taak, and drummer Jordan Jansons. Following a self-released single, “Breakaway,” Jansons was replaced on drums by Jonno Panichi who played on their debut EP, 2015’s A Place Apart. Over the next two years, Stand Atlantic worked hard to establish themselves, doing major tours with bands like As It Is, State Champs, and Cute Is What We Aim For. With the departure of second guitarist Taak, they slimmed down to a trio and in 2017 became the first Australian act to sign with Italian pop-punk specialists Rude Records. With the strength of a label behind them, they landed the opening slot on New Found Glory’s sold-out Australian tour in the summer of 2017 and released their label debut, the Sidewinder EP, in September, earning positive reviews and support from Triple J radio. A European tour supporting Britain’s ROAM rounded out their calendar for the year, and they kicked off 2018 touring Australia with American band Knuckle Puck. The September release of their next single, “Lavender Bones,” was coupled with announcement that they had signed with high-profile U.S. label Hopeless Records. A month later, Stand Atlantic delivered their full-length debut, Skinny Dipping. The album was a big success among genre fans, hitting 25 million streams in just a couple of years. Their 2020 follow-up Pink Elephant saw them take a more experimental approach, with slick, electronic-sounding production that wouldn’t have sounded out of place on a contemporary pop album.
Daisy Grenade

These two gorgeously disturbed girlies make up the iconic duo “Daisy Grenade” – a power-punk bubble grunge band that serves a punch with a lip-glossed kiss on the side. With Pete Wentz (as in THE emo prince of our generation) as a mentor and the collaboration of The Ready Set for their sophomore EP, CULT CLASSIC, they turned their unapologetically feminine angst into sickeningly catchy, morbidly worded bubble-grunge bops that are dripping out of a saccharine shell.
