Powerslug returns to LPR with a bill featuring two of the greatest pioneers and purveyors of nu-disco music, Classixx and Fred Falke. Join us for this exclusive opportunity to see the duo spin all their new tracks after their debut album drops on May 15th. It’s all happening in our favorite NYC dance space at LPR!
One of the world’s most universally respected DJ duos, L.A. natives and childhood best friends Classixx have headlined everywhere from the famed Paris Social Club to New York’s Webster Hall, touring constantly since the release of their exuberant 2009 single “I’ll Get You,” which featured Lady Gaga songwriter Jeppe. Following their breakout single with acclaimed remixes for Phoenix, Holy Ghost, Mayer Hawthorne, Groove Armada, Yacht, Major Lazer, Gossip and others, for the last two years Classixx have been intent on their debut Hanging Gardens, whittling the LP down from hundreds of sessions to a svelte 12 songs. Playing a wide array of instruments on Hanging Gardens, Classixx’ full-length debut features impossibly sunny grooves, blithe melodies bred by the coast, coaxed out by the surf, expertly crafted for road trips, pool parties and dance clubs.
Joining Classixx will be none other than French House legend Fred Falke! With scores of dance hits under his belt, the German native paved the way for disco house through collaborations with heavyweights like Alan Braxe and Kris Menace. Following the release of his debut album in late 2011, Fred has continued to ride the wave of success, churning out remixes for likes of Lana Del Rey, Two Door Cinema Club, and Nervo. An instant party starter, Falke’s live showmanship is a must-see event – do not miss this!
Powerslug Events continues to throw the best dance parties in New York city, already producing unforgettable events this year featuring the brightest acts in the game like RAC, Moullinex, Amtrac, and Penguin Prison. Come by and see what the hype is all about!

Fred Falke + guests
Since the inception of his career in 2000, French house phenomenon Fred Falke has been recognized as one of the most prolific and in-demand producers on the planet. After his debut release “Intro” was deemed a major influence on the emerging French house scene, Falke earned global recognition for his exceptional talents as a DJ, producer and remixer.
With a longstanding and viable career spanning nearly two decades, Falke has proven his versatility and adaptation to various music styles with “Golden Cage” and reworks of Nervo and Robyn tracks. His ability to bridge the gap between pop and electronic dance music is evident with his remixes for top artists like Katy Perry and Ke$ha to more recently Lana Del Rey, Jason Derulo, and Selena Gomez. In addition to his productions, he has written and produced for the likes of Ellie Goulding and Florrie and co-wrote Amelia Lilly’s track “You Bring Me Joy” that reached #2 in UK charts in 2012.
From nu disco and pop to indie dance and house, Falke’s productions and remixes bring freshness and originality to a currently over saturated music industry. Currently, he has upcoming originals and remixes on the horizon with world and US tour dates being announced soon!
