Soni withaneye
SONI WITHANEYE a Queen’s NY native and world traveler has emerged with a genre-expanding collection of music that attracts listeners from house lovers to head bangers.
Her latest release, “Could This Be” — one of a series of collaborative works with Polyrhythm — was added to Defected Radio’s upcoming playlist and is picking up heat, electrifying dance floors by legends such as Black Coffee, Da Capo, Mr. V, MAW, and Pablo Fierro.
Inspired by her family of musicians — SONI withanEYE moves in the same direction, refusing to be pigeonholed into one specific genre. Her debut album, “Rebel”, featured Mobb Deep, Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan, and Questlove of The Roots, to name a few.
SONI has worked with legends Louie Vega, Jellybean Benitez, Timbaland, Bubba Sparxxx, The Beatnuts, Tony Touch and Todd Terry to name a few. She was the face of Cypress Hill’s BReal.TV, where she hosted a live weekly broadcast, interviewing artists and partygoers, showcasing her cunning on-camera charm. Soni is also the voice of a recurring character for the comedic USS New York cartoon.
Recently, Soni has become a sought-after music producer and composer for brand commercials, films, campaigns, and recording artists. She has helped catapult fellow artists’ brands and created her own: LoveBreak, Full Haus, and Haus of Creatives, all of which celebrate a love for culture in music while providing a platform of opportunities for other artists to be discovered and heard.
While some may try to throw labels on what her work represents, Soni serves as a musical teacher of sorts — defining what she truly is: a versatile, evolving, and transforming force with a voice and energy that touches the soul.
