Joseph King and the Mad Crush
With a career spanning multiple genres, labels, cities and even continents, Joseph King’s music defines a decade-long journey of love, heartbreak, and reckless discovery. The prolific singer, songwriter and former front man of two successful bands–Deadbeat Darling and Canvas—now steps into the limelight with his unique 60’s surf rock meets modern indie sound, and the launch of his debut solo EP, Wanderlusting (March 2014 on RockArmy Records).
“Joseph is a great pop songwriter who focuses on the here and now in New York… He thrives on doing what he does best and leaving it at that. He crafts catchy pop songs with effective, simple arrangements… And I gotta say, he really nails it.” ~ Johnny Zachman, doNYC
“Joseph King’s solo album “Wanderlusting” is a stripped down, lo-fi affair with a vintage feel to it. This little step towards minimalism serves to highlight Joseph’s passion and charm as a songwriter in a big way.” ~ Loris Lowe, DJ KGSR and KLBJ (Austin, TX)
“A raw, powerful voice that combines the warmth, grit and passion of Jeff Buckley and a young Rod Stewart.”
Tash (of The London Souls)
Tash Neal is a guitar player, singer, songwriter and record producer based in Harlem, NYC. He has recorded 2 studio albums with The London Souls, and is working on an upcoming album to be released in 2018.
Vick + The Velvicks
One of the most unique singer/songwriters to appear from Brazil’s latest music scene. Influenced by “60’s, 70’s and 90’s music, Vick Nader shaped his work towards “Art Rock”. Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, he teamed up with a uber talented group of Brazilian Berkeley graduates Vinicius Martins (guitar), Andre Vasconcelos (guitar), Ed Marson (Drums) and Apoena Frota (bass) to perform as Vick & The Velvicks. “Songs are making sense, the band is delivering badass live performances and people are responding to that.” Their songwriting is being compared to Roger Waters, Thom Yorke, Michael Stipe and Bob Dylan. Currently mixing their soon to be released debut EP called “Red Heads”.
