LPR Presents: Ilana Glazer- The Generator Series (Night 2) at Murmrr Theatre: 17 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn NY 11238

Generator is a movement inspiring people who live in the U.S. to humanize policy through storytelling. We achieve this by using social media platforms to share about how policy affects our everyday lives. Founded by Broad City’s Ilana Glazer, Ruby Anaya and Glennis Meagher, we humbly admit: we don’t know shit!

This Generator Series is a limited 4-part event focused on progressive candidates running in the midterms and activists working towards social justice. Ilana Glazer will be interviewing activists and politicians to see how they each serve us – the people. This election might be one of the most important in our lifetime, so we are also coordinating volunteer buses for those able and interested the weekend of November 3rd to canvas for the candidates you see at the show. We’ll also share additional ways to volunteer – let’s do all that we can and work together to make sure this election counts.

And you – yes you – will get the chance to record your own Generator video at the event with the help of fellow Generators. Learn more at generatorcollective.com.

The Generator Collective

Generator Collective Official Website | Generator Collective on Facebook | Generator Collective on Instagram | Generator Collective on YouTube

Generator Collective aims to be a community for Americans to share their stories on how they have been impacted by political policy – both positive and negative. We want to humanize policy through storytelling by helping organize the noise of these policies into digestible, human stories, and overall lower the political barrier of entry.

The Generator was created by three women who want to help reduce the political divide and start human conversations around how policy impacts real people.

Summer Lee, Sara Innamorato and Elizabeth Fiedler

Summer Lee is running for State Representative of Pennsylvania’s 34th district. Summer is a lifelong resident of the 34th district and is a proud graduate of Woodland Hills High School, Pennsylvania State University and Howard University School of Law, where she specialized in civil rights and constitutional law. During the 2016 presidential election, she served as a Field Organizer in her home district for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, where she recruited, managed, and led volunteers engaged in direct voter contact. She has also worked in community and labor organizing, advocating for workers’ rights and a $15 minimum wage.

Sara Innamorato is running for State Representative of Pennsylvania’s 21st district. She is a lifetime Pittsburgh-area resident born to a middle-class family in Ross Township. Her father was a salesman who worked in the early burgeoning tech industry in the area and her mother worked part-time in retail. She is running because she believes Pennsylvania’s government is in desperate need of young, fresh faces who won’t back down from hard work, aren’t afraid to take a risk to get things done, are strong-willed and resistant to corruption, and truly have a vision for the future of our communities.

Elizabeth Fiedler is running for State Representative in South Philly because she is a strong supporter of Medicare For All, public education, and climate justice. Elizabeth is a former reporter for WHYY, the Philadelphia public radio station. She is the mom of two young children, the daughter of two union public school teachers, and a fearless fighter for working people.
