Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien has confirmed details of the North American debut of EOB’s live incarnation: EOB will play intimate shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto in February 2020.

These exclusive events will serve as prelude to a full scale tour in support of EOB’s debut album, due out early 2020 on Capitol Records. EOB’s live band on these four dates and the upcoming tour will be comprised of Hinako Omori, Ross Chapman, Dishan Abrahams and Alvin Ford, Jr..

Ed recently unveiled the first sights and sounds from his debut under the EOB moniker, in the form of the song “Brasil.” Described by STEREOGUM as “a nine-minute shapeshifting epic,” “Brasil” begins life as a plaintive ballad built on the bare bones of O’Brien’s voice and acoustic guitar before blooming into “a pulsing motorik driver that beats out into space” (CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND). “Brasil” was also adapted into a nine-minute short film, bringing to life a concept by Ed and director Andrew Donoho that—in the words of ROLLING STONE—”shows humanity coming together after Earth is visited by an alien power.”

The early 2020 release date of the EOB album will be revealed shortly, as will its title. The album was recorded from the fall of 2017 through early 2019. Produced by Flood and mixed by Alan Moulder, EOB’s debut album features contributions from Omar Hakim, Colin Greenwood, Adam “Cecil” Bartlett, David Okumu and Richie Kennedy, Laura Marling, Adrian Utley, Nathan East and Glenn Kotche.

Tickets for these shows will be on sale to the general public Friday, December 13 at 10am local time. Further information on ticketing, pre-sales and more can be found at eobmusic.com.

The original. The tastemaker. The first. All of these are terms that have been applied to DJ Justine D. more than once by the media and nightlife royalty. As the consummate professional she is thought of as one of the best female DJ’s working in New York City.

She is a native New Yorker who honed her skills on the most infamous dance floors over two decades ago.

She has worked with and opened for such talent as Patti LaBelle, Phoenix, The Rapture, Chromatics, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, Moby, The Cramps, The New York Dolls, and many others.

“You’d be hard-pressed to find a party hungry New Yorker who would deny the ongoing sanitization of the city’s nightlife. But thankfully… there are people like Justine D.” said i-D Magazine. In the early 00s, Justine rose to prominence as a DJ, scene maker and style arbiter creating and managing nightlife institutions like the traveling Motherf**ker parties, Tiswas, and the infamous Williamsburg venue Studio B. She quickly became known for her exceptional taste and Djing prowess as well as an essential part of the collision between the rock’n roll and dance music worlds that would change dance floors forever.

In recent years Justine studied Classic Pastry Arts at the French Culinary Institute and became a classically trained pastry chef with recipes featured in Martha Stewart Living, Food & Wine, and the Cherry Bombe cookbook. She has also created custom cakes for an impressive client list including Humberto Leon of Opening Ceremony, Karen O. of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.

While pursuing her other passion, she has made regular appearances at events across the city.

As The New York Times Ruth LaFerla stated, “Justine Delaney speaks fashion like a native, her conversation studded with insider argot and references… Listening, you would peg her as an indie designer. In fact, Justine D., as she is known to her public, is on cozier terms with a turntable than she is with a cutting table; her medium is vinyl — the kind that spins.”
