Clan of Xymox

Clan of Xymox is a Dutch band, formed in 1981 by Ronny Moorings in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

The music is often classified as darkwave, gothic rock, and synth-pop, and is known for it’s moody, atmospheric sound and introspective lyrics.

In 1983, the band released it’s self-titled debut album “Subsequent Pleasures” and gained attention in the emerging gothic music scene. The album featured a dark, ethereal sound that would become their signature style. The band’s name was changed to Clan of Xymox after signing with the U.K. independent label 4AD.

In 1985  Clan of Xymox released their second album, “Clan of Xymox ” which included the hit song “A Day.” The album helped establish the band’s reputation within the gothic / dark wave music scene and gained them a dedicated following.

Over the years, Clan of Xymox has experienced various lineup changes, with Ronny Moorings being still the only constant member. The band has continued to release albums and tour regularly, maintaining a strong fan base around the world.

Ronny Moorings’s lyrics often explores themes of love, loss, and introspection, and is known for the melancholic and atmospheric soundscapes. Their influence can be heard in the work of many contemporary darkwave and gothic bands.

Throughout the bands long career, Clan of Xymox has remained active and continues to be an important and influential presence in the gothic/ dark wave music genre.

Ronny Moorings writes, records and produces all music and lyrics for his songs.

Cold Cave

Cold Cave has become synonymous with the modern-day resurgence of darkwave and synthpop. Since 2007, Wesley Eisold’s poetic lyrics and rich baritone combined with Amy Lee’s conceptual artistic vision has propelled Cold Cave to perform at world class museums The Getty and The Guggenheim, and tours alongside legends Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cult and Ministry among others. Marked by a pitch black aesthetic, crafting melodic synths-capes with songs celebrating the contradictory beauty of the human condition, they are cerebral and savage yet sweet and seductive. Based in Los Angeles, their efforts stretch across mediums into their book publishing company and record label, Heartworm Press, and bookstore The Daily Planet, where they have released the poetry of Alan Vega (Suicide), Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle & Psychic TV) and Mark Lanegan. From their primordial noise industrial beginnings to their shimmering signature synth-pop, Cold Cave have established themselves as long-running luminaries of the underground.

Buzz Kull

Buzz Kull is the solo project of Sydney-based musician and producer Marc Dwyer.

Since 2012 Buzz Kull has been blending elements of darkwave, EBM, and synth-pop into a sound that’s dark, dissonant and danceable.

Rosa Anschütz

She has released three LPs: Votive (2020), accompanied by nine clay sculptures inspired by votive offerings; Goldener Strom (2022), staged at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin; and Interior (2024), featuring nine tracks, each accompanied by a sequined landscape hand-stitched by Anschütz.
