“Connie’s Piano Songs” is an album featuring the debut recordings of Connie Converse’s never-before-heard art songs for piano and voice, left behind in manuscript format at the time of her disappearance. The album features original songs, settings of poems by e.e.cummings, Dylan Thomas, A.E. Housman and T.S. Eliot, and Connie Converse’s last known musical compositions — an ambitious suite of songs called “The Cassandra Cycle.”
“Connie’s Piano Songs” features the recording debuts of soprano Charlotte Mundy and pianist Christopher Goddard. It was produced by Howard Fishman and recorded in Brooklyn, NY.
David Garland (Spinning on Air) along with producers Dan Dzula and David Herman will be present to talk about rediscovering the music of Connie Converse.
Filmmaker Andrea Kannes will screen the first 10 minutes of her Connie Converse documentary, “We Lived Alone”.
