BOOKTRESS LLC has launched – and what better way to kick off the hottest new resource for working actors in NYC?! A launch concert party, of course.

Prepare to be taken behind the scenes of “making it” on Broadway – getting the inside scoop on what the path to Broadway entails – the ups, the downs, and all the roadblocks in between. BOOKTRESS Offline will make you laugh, maybe make you cry, and take you through the “booking” stories (and “almost-booking” stories) of some of the greatest Broadway stars and brightest performers working in New York City. After sharing their stories, the artists will be performing songs from the Broadway shows they booked, in addition to some brand new mash-ups and show-stopping medleys!

The show will be hosted by Booktress Founder and Off-Broadway actress Elyssa Brette Mactas with a surprise co-host, and will feature:

Loni Ackerman (CATS, EVITA, THE MAGIC SHOW, NO NO NANETTE, GEORGE M!)
Jenny Rose Baker (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN)
Julie Benko (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, LES MISÉRABLES, SPRING AWAKENING Nat’l Tour)
Melanie Brook (50 SHADES! The Musical Parody)
Virginia Cavaliere (IN THE HEIGHTS Nat’l Tour, MAMMA MIA! Las Vegas)
Jessica Crouch (WE WILL ROCK YOU Nat’l Tour)
Marisa Dargahi (JASPER IN DEADLAND)
Brandon Ellis (ONCE, COMPANY)
LaVon Fisher-Wilson (CHICAGO, NEWSIES, LYSISTRATA JONES, THE COLOR PURPLE)
Joey LaVarco (13 THE MUSICAL)
Ben Liebert (WICKED)
Ellyn Marie Marsh (KINKY BOOTS, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, ENRON)
Clinton Roane (THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS)
Brian Charles Rooney (THE THREEPENNY OPERA, NY Philharmonic’s CAMELOT)
Dominique Scott (ROCK OF AGES Nat’l Tour)
Daniel Patrick Smith (ELF THE MUSICAL Nat’l Tour)
Josephine Spada (AMERICAN IDIOT Nat’l Tour)

…PLUS a sneak peak performance from the upcoming Off-Broadway Musical WHO’S YOUR BAGHDADDY?! OR HOW I STARTED THE IRAQ WAR by Marshall Pailet & A.D. Penedo.

Produced by Megan Minutillo and Elyssa Mactas, with musical direction by Luke Williams (ANYTHING GOES NAT’L TOUR), this will be an evening to remember. You’ll get to hear behind the scenes stories that are usually kept under wraps, musical theatre and pop/rock songs from some of Broadway’s most successful shows, and get to know what the journey of scoring that dream role is like…or, almost like! Then it’s time to party with the performers and celebrate the launch of this innovative exciting company. There will be prizes, medleys, mash-ups, and surprises at this jam-packed evening in one of the best concert/party venues in New York City!

BOOKTRESS Offline: The Official Launch Concert Party is set for Monday, October 5th at (Le) Poisson Rouge, located at 158 Bleecker Street. Doors will open at 6pm, special guest Hephaestus Improv will kick off the party at 6:40pm, and BOOKTRESS Offline begins at 7pm.
