Ayla Nereo – By The Light Of The Dark Moon Tour 2019

Ayla Nereo Official WebsiteAyla Nereo on FacebookAyla Nereo on TwitterAyla Nereo on Instagram

Ayla Nereo is a voice for the planet, a beacon of light, a modern bard of beauty singing directly from her soul. With lyrical poetry splashing like dazzling paint across a canvas of sound, she builds layer upon layer of vocal melodies into majestic loop-pedal harmonies, weaving syncopated threads of guitar, kalimba, piano, and percussion into her live performances.

Ayla’s music is a genre unto its own, as she allows sounds to dance between vocal looping, produced beats, live drumming, orchestral string arrangements, Celtic melodies, and even dashes of hip-hop wordplay. With an uncanny ability to disarm and crack open the heart, Ayla’s lucid storytelling and magical presence rings with love, as she sings for the depth of our humanness, a truth beyond time and place, and the pure wonder of life itself.

Though you’d never know it by witnessing her perform, Ayla grew up with a deep fear of singing. In her final year of college, songs began pouring through her, and it was only through the constant urging of those around her that she began to slowly share her music. Propelled by the songs themselves, Ayla’s journey of meeting those fears and singing through them has propelled her into the powerful performer she is today, touching an ever-widening global audience with the inspiring magic of her songs.

A child schooled at home in the hills of Sonoma County, Ayla was raised on Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, opera, classical music, traditional celtic songs, and ABBA — influences which have deeply shaped her music. Touching on both the timeless and modern, she always rides the line between genres, so that her songwriting and sound ultimately cannot be compared to anyone else.

Dancing her own songs on stage as she sings them, her movement and presence gives the audience a permission to be wild, real, vulnerable, and alive. Every performance Ayla gives is its own inspired journey; an enchanting and poignant experience that holds you by the heart and doesn’t let go.

Ayla is releasing her 6th album in the spring of 2019 via Jumpsuit Records. Honing her artistry and craft over the years, Ayla has developed a loyal fanbase, one that has recently seen exponential growth into widening circles across the planet. The upcoming release of her phenomenal new album, “By The Light of the Dark Moon”, marks a stepping-out into the world arena. With a nationwide tour supporting the album release, a full summer of notable festival appearances, and her second European tour on the horizon, Ayla’s music is reverberating from a west-coast transformational niche into larger global audiences, to inspire and uplift the hearts of humanity. To date, Ayla has released 5 solo albums, 2 Wildlight albums (the collaboration project of Ayla and David Sugalski, aka The Polish Ambassador), and 3 collaboration albums. Her music has also recently seen rapid and increasing growth throughout Europe, as well as Canada, Australia, and dozens of other countries.

MELD

MELD’s music is an eclectic soulful journey. Drawing inspiration from her two favorite genres, Progressive Jazz and Jam band music, she has created a unique fusion of musical elements. People have likened her performance to that of a “modern day” Janis Joplin meets Hiatus Kaiyote.

In January of 2017, MELD released her debut EP “H.U.R.T.” (Healing Under Rising Truth.) The 5-song work was produced by Matt Harris of Livetronica band, Zoogma, and can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Tidal, YouTube and more. Her single “Easy On The Game” received nods from Nylon Magazine, BTRToday, No Country for New Nashville, YabYum Arts, Syracuse New Times, and several other publications- ultimately landing the single on Hype Machine. The “H.U.R.T.” remix album was released on April 20th, 2018, with collaborations and remixes by Felice, SAER, Daniel Simmons, Spaceship Earth, Waterchild, and Batavia. The albums first single “Leaving You Out (Felice Remix)” was premiered on renowned EDM blog, Dancing Astronaut, and the full album was featured on We Rave You on release day. Now, the single has over 170K listens on Spotify. Most recently, MELD opened for The Main Squeeze in Nashville, TN at Exit/In prior to launching a 30-date summer tour which landed them at Music On The Mothership Festival In Taos, New Mexico, and Sonic Bloom in Colorado. In previous solo projects, MELD (Melanie Dewey,) has had the opportunity to share the stage with jam bands Zoogma, and Brothers Past. MELD’s debut full length album is set for an August 2018 release, and was fully funded on Kickstarter in late 2018.
