John W. Thompson’s music has sold in excess of 10 million units on commercially released albums and CDs. His songs have been recorded internationally by a wide variety of artists including Johnny Cash, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Earl Scruggs, The Burrito Brothers and Bernadette Peters. His 1983 Grammy winning song “El Shaddai” was named one of the Songs of the Century by the RIAA, and Gospel Song of the Decade by Billboard Magazine.
 
His Americana group The Reminders, in conjunction with Deah Harriott from The Church Ladies of Broadway’s The Color Purple and a full sized Gospel choir fill the evening with all original music reflecting the various genres of Gospel music that have evolved throughout American culture.
