Nutcracker: Rated R official site

“Nutcracker: Rated R” was born in 2006 at Theater for the New City, and played in NYC for seven seasons, moving to the American Theatre of Actors and, eventually, (le) poisson rouge. In 2012, it transferred to Tokyo, Japan. Combining genres as far flung as ballet, burlesque, contemporary and hip hop, NC:RR cracks open the heart of the classic children’s ballet to uncover drugs, sex, family secrets and all the other delights that make the Holidays so special.
