Koubeh is a New York-based Iranian ensemble reshaping Persian folk and traditional music for a modern audience. The group bridges ancient Iranian melodies and complex regional rhythms with fresh, high-energy arrangements, creating a vibrant, cross-cultural sound.

The band has steadily built a highly dedicated international following, driven by the success of their breakout single “Kook”, which resonated across borders and amassed millions of views online. But Koubeh’s true element is the stage. Currently entering an exciting new chapter, Koubeh is fueled by a dynamic lineup featuring Sima Shahverdi (vocals), Kaveh Haghtalab (drums), Nima Farzaneh (accordion and keys), Anders Nilsson (guitar), and Isaac Levien (bass). The band recently recorded an EP, and they are gearing up for a wider 2026 U.S. tour.
