Emerging from the fog back-lit by bass heavy drums and intricately woven synths, dream tiger takes the stage. Though small in stature, Liz Wolf’s channeled emotion fills the room with vocals powerful enough to stop anyone in their tracks; and with good reason. She debuted her solo project onstage and released her first album titled SELF in 2013 while moonlighting as keyboardist for WHY?. Wolf has since made the dream tiger concept a reality and continues to leave lasting impressions on audiences across the US. Some say her sound harkens back to the likes of Portishead’s production, Mazzy Star’s tempos and Kate Bush’s vocal sensibility but with fresh efforts in the realm of dark wave. Living and touring coast-to-coast over the past six years, wolf finally settled in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2010 where she recorded and mixed SELF. She is currently working on a 7″ and a follow up album. This spring Josiah Wolf along with fellow WHY? bandmate Doug McDiarmid. and Master Synth God Ofir “MS-20” Klemperer join Liz on stage to bring you the richest sounds of dream tiger live. They will be supporting Of Montreal May 9th-19th 2014.
