This small venue for contemporary and experimental classical music performances in New York’s Greenwich Village was founded by David Handler and Justin Kantor, two graduates of the Manhattan School of Music. The venue’s stated mission is to “revive the symbiotic relationship between art and revelry,” as well as establish a “creative asylum for both artists and audiences.” In May, the Wordless Music Orchestra opened a program with the New York premiere of Arvo Part’s fourth symphony, which was followed by Japanese instrumental band Mono.
