Antithesis, an evening of electrified shimmy and sonic wonder curated by producer and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Daniel Lanois, is coming to Brooklyn Masonic Temple on Monday, November 10. And here’s a great playlist of tunes by Lanois, Saharan blues band Tinariwen and chamber pop/indie rock conjurers The Antlers to get you ready. All three will play full sets at Antithesis.
Put together by the fine folks at Anti Records, the playlist kicks off with Tinariwen’s new 4-song Spotify Session. It also features “Opera” from Lanois’ new album Flesh and Machine, tracks from The Antlers’ latest, Familiars, and both the original and the Four Tet remix of Tinariwen’s “Tenere Taqhim Tossam,” among other choice selections.
Give it a spin:
For more Antithesis-related goodness, you can stream Tinariwen’s Inside / Outside: Joshua Tree Acoustic Sessions and watch Daniel Lanois’ new video for the Flesh and Machine track “Iceland.” And here’s The Antlers’ new video for “Refuge” from Familiars:
Get your tickets for Antithesis at Brooklyn Masonic Temple on Monday 11/10. It’s going to be amazing.
