Bio:
New York City’s cheekily named Earl Greyhound is a power trio consisting of vocalist/guitarist Matt Whyte, bassist/vocalist Kamara Thomas and drummer Ricc Sheridan. Although formed in January 2003, the group’s influences date back to the 1970s, and specifically classic rockers with an ear for pop hooks such as T. Rex, Badfinger and Big Star. After immersing themselves in rehearsals and showcases about town, the band signed to Some Records and released their self-titled EP in September 2004. ~ Ed Rivadavia, All Music Guide

SwEEtie ’swë-të noun 1. someone with whom one is in love and by whom one is loved; lover, 2. darling: a term of endearment; a very agreeable person or an excellent thing

Seventeen mothers all bearing the same child is like a plethora of musical influences and genres, from metal to classical, destined into one band: SwEEtie = a family of 4 individuals fated by birth to uphold the integrity of their musical ancestry by creating for life, creating for love, creating for sanity. Musical insomniac SwEEtie walks and runs the streets of New York City, creating sounds with every step. Having never heard anything quite like them before, they somehow provide you with your utmost desires before you even know what they are.

SwEEtie is the candy coating on your sinful treats, the decadent frosting on your favorite deserts, the sunny morning after beautiful rainstorms. Their sick beauty arises from every drop of lyrical insight and vocal intricacy blown to you with a kiss from lead vocalist Ife Mora, every melodic ray of sun and bass vibration of thunder touched by a finger from keyboardist Tecla Esposito, every shred of lightning and pure experience of an instrument’s true energy released from guitarist Nes Panlilio, and the stone hard-cold, soft-squishy, bounce-drop, give-it-to-me hits straight out of the rainbow by drummer Bob King.

What’s left is the adaptation of a unique sound that will forever bring you happiness, intrigue, confidence, and sexuality, internalizing what SwEEtie gives to their audience at every show and with every record…if only we could all be undead and experience their evolution forever, SwEEtie would have the power to turn us all into angelic zombies.
