It’s Philip Glass’s birthday! We want to, again, wish Mr. Glass a happy birthday. We’re were lucky enough to get to throw a birthday for him on Sunday in conjunction with Orange Mountain Music, Kronos Quartet, Bruce Brubaker, Tim Fain, Ensemble Signal, Zach Glass, and many others. You can read a little more about that here. The photograph to the right (taken by Ian Douglas for the New York Times) is of Mr. Glass after getting his cake at the end of the night. If you weren’t able to make that and would like to celebrate Philip Glass’s birthday you can see the U.S Premiere of his 9th symphony at Carnegie Hall tonight.
