Critically acclaimed Smiths tribute (Rolling Stone, WIRED) returns to LPR for a third annual ‘Alternative Valentine’s’ show, with special guest Cure tribute Staring at the Sea. The Smiths Tribute NYC performs the legendary band’s classics and deep cuts, recreating the spirit of a real Smiths show, with a singer the same age as Morrissey in his 80s prime. The NYC-based tribute has sold out venues from Boston to LA, and has shared the stage with members of Guided by Voices, Nada Surf, and Morrissey’s former touring band, and the late Andy Rourke.
Ticketing Policy
All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Physical photo ID required for all shows with age restrictions – no exceptions.
When an event sells out, fans who missed out on tickets can join the Waitlist for a chance to purchase tickets from someone who can no longer attend. Joining the Waitlist does NOT guarantee entry to the event, please do NOT arrive at the venue unless you are contacted about tickets becoming available.

In 2022 members of The Sons & Heirs regrouped as The Smiths Tribute NYC. For 14 years, The Sons & Heirs built an extensive following through sold-out shows from Tel Aviv to Austin to Nashville to LA, with press acclaim from the New York Times, New Yorker, New York Post, Jerusalem Post, The Daily Beast and Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield.
The band has shared the stage with many special guests including Morrissey’s long-time drummer Spencer Cobrin, Doug Gillard (Guided By Voices, Nada Surf) and the late Smiths bassist Andy Rourke.
The band is thrilled to return to the Village to play Le Poisson Rouge.
