Eucademix (Yuka C. Honda)
Yuka Honda (eucademix) is a composer, producer, and sonic innovator whose work defies genre and convention. Co-founder of the trailblazing duo Cibo Matto, she has since forged a solo path that blends electronic experimentation, improvisational depth, infectious rhythm, and abstract storytelling. She describes her music as quantum, continuum, and sensory—a fluid exploration of sound as both narrative and experience. Like a book or a film, her compositions invite the listener into a story: shifting through contrasting emotions, spaces, and textures to create an unfolding journey.
Honda began her musical path with classical piano lessons, where ear training became her most lasting asset. After moving to New York City in the late 1980s, she was working as a food writer when she discovered the possibilities of digital instruments. Composing from her bedroom, she explored not only harmony and melody but also the limitless potential of sonic manipulation, deeply influenced by hip hop’s layering and genre-crossing imagination.
She later formed Cibo Matto with Miho Hatori, releasing two acclaimed albums on Warner Brothers Records before continuing her vision as eucademix. Her collaborations include Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Nels Cline, Photay, Jason Lindner (Black Star), Dave Harrington (Darkside), L’Rain, and Martha Wainwright. Recent projects include Respira at ISSUE Project Room and her score for Resurrection of Osiris at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Dream Crease
Dream Crease is Los Angeles-based solo artist Marina Aguerre (Teal Pop, Spaceface, Dumbo Gets Mad) seeking to mesh the world of fantasy with her eclectic sonic muses. Mixing analog and digital producing methods to create shimmering soundscapes over vocal incantations, colliding natural and unnatural sounds for an otherworldly experience.
Cassandra Croft
With a voice praised by NPR Music as “gorgeous, ethereal, [and] haunting,” Brooklyn songwriter Cassandra Croft writes hypnagogic pop drawing on memory, time, and the natural world. Following a move to New York City from the West Coast, she has recorded with Randall Dunn, Rachika Nayar, Nina Keith, and Julianna Barwick, with releases on Domino and Red Hot Org—earning critical acclaim from “All Songs Considered” and Pitchfork. Drawing on folk, neoclassical, and ambient electronic, Croft’s songcraft positions euphoria as softly restrained, and beauty as the line where melancholy meets with life-affirming hope.
PFR Records
PFR Records is an artist-run label based out of Brooklyn and SF. Releases span from minimal house and techno, to psych, shoegaze, and ambient.
