Andrea Grant Andrea Grant

Andrea Grant is a writer, editor, and multimedia artist. She began her career with the launch of the mixed media-themed “Copious Magazine” which gained an underground following and associated itself with the spoken-word scene. She subsequently went on to publish hundreds of essays, poetry, and art photographs in various international publications.

In 2009, she published her first poetry collection “The Pin-Up Poet,” a re-invention of classic female stereotypes in a postmodern context, using herself in the guise of different characters, shot by top photographers. The women in these poems are modern in totality—they drink too much vodka, smoke to calm their nerves, hide behind the armor of black clothing and lingerie. These women are at once lustful and neurotic, they burn cookies and they can’t sleep. They are both predators and victims, empowered by their choices to leave unhappy relationships, but lonely and haunted by the ghosts of old lovers.

Grant’s passion for merging words with visuals expanded into the realm of comic books, and in 2011 she launched “MINX: Dream War,” a graphic novel series that merges Native American mythology with contemporary fantasy.

After working in the editorial & advertising field for top publishing companies such as Conde Nast and Meredith Corporation, she launched Copious Consulting (www.copious-consulting.com), a digital communications agency designed to create unique, authentic content for top brands.
