Since 2009, the critically acclaimed jazz composer and pianist, Mr. Piatigorsky is exploring a broader acoustic theme, performing with a string section. The evolution of his writing for a premier stage act has evolved under many different names, culminating as The Sketchy Orkestra — a large ensemble, embracing the contrast of jazz piano trio and chamber string section. Making use of broad range of genres, Misha seamlessly blends jazz, soul, rock, hip-hop and vocals, creating an unforgettable live concert experience for the audience.

The Sketchy Orkestra will perform original compositions by Misha Piatigorsky as well as his arrangements of well-known classics, such as songs by Leonard Cohen to David Bowie.

Kennedy

Motor City native Kennedy made her way to New York not too long ago. She carved out a formidable body of work thanks to a vocal style that combines resemblances of significant influences like Ella Fitzgerald, Sade, Anita Baker, a dash of Luther Vandross, and a particular mix of playfulness and seductive poise. In a few short years since coming east, in one of the world’s most competitive entertainment capitals, Kennedy has amassed gigs and collaborations with Lalah Hathaway, Christina Aguilera, Kenny Lattimore, Monifah and Cheryl Pepsi-Riley.
