An informal monthly gathering of composers and musicians interested in studying scores from great composers past and present. The first hour is score study, followed by a presentation by a guest composer. Stick around after for a drink!
For November 11: We will be looking at Ravel’s “Daphnis and Chloe Orchestral Suites #1 and #2”. We will be using the Dover edition (make sure to avoid buying the full ballet score). It is available online – limited copies are in stock at the Juilliard Bookstore as well. The guest composer will be Chris Hajian (www.chrishajian.com).
