Polly Ferman’s GlamourTango – A Celebration of Women in Tango
GlamourTango a unique all female international multimedia music and dance show. The state of the art production includes live projections, live animations and lighting designed to pay homage to women in Tango.
Tango is a style of dance where men are the leaders and women, the followers. In juxtaposition, GlamourTango was created to showcase the feminine, elegant, fun and strong qualities of Argentine and Uruguayan women in Tango. It is educational and motivational: the ultimate homage to Women’s Empowerment.

TABLE SEATING POLICY Table seating for all seated shows is reserved exclusively for ticket holders who purchase “Table Seating” tickets. By purchasing a “Table Seating” ticket you agree to also purchase a minimum of two food and/or beverage items per person. Table seating is first come, first seated. Please arrive early for the best choice of available seats. Seating begins when doors open. Tables are communal so you may be seated with other patrons. We do not take table reservations. A standing room area is available by the bar for all guests who purchase “Standing Room” tickets. Food and beverage can be purchased at the bar but there is no minimum purchase required in this area. All tickets sales are final. No refund or credits.

Polly Ferman music director /pianist / cultural entrepreneur/ educator
A leading interpreter of the music of the Americas, Uruguayan born, NewYork-based pianist Polly Ferman captivates audiences with outstanding performances of works by Latin American composers. Recognized by The Japan Times as “a Musical Ambassadorof the Americas,” Ferman’s numerous recordings constitute one of the most extensive collections of Latin American repertoire for
piano.
Ferman’s tours as a soloist have included performances with prestigious orchestras around the world, including the San Francisco,Sacramento, Indianapolis, Tokyo, Philippines, Jarkov and Argentine National Symphonies, among others, as well as recitals stagessuch as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Tokyo’s Takemitsu Hall, London’s St. Martin in the Fields, and Buenos Aires’ Teatro Colón.
Ferman created, directs and performs in GlamourTango, a multimedia music & dance show celebrating the contributions of women in Tango, with an all-female cast of performers.
A cultural entrepreneur, Ferman founded and directs Pan American Musical Art Research, a 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1984 to promote awareness of and appreciation for the cultures of Latin America.
Mariana Parma
Choreographer/Dancer
Mariana Parma was a producer and performer in the off-Broadway hit Swango, and appeared in productions of Swing, Evita, and many tango productions. The versatile artist also recently choreographed a commercial in Mumbai, India, and has coached Chita Rivera and Tommy Tune in the art of tango.
Vidala Barboza
Choreographer, Director, Dancer
Professional tango and Argentine folklore dancer. She danced at the Ballet Folklorico Nacional, Tango X 2, Tango Seduccion, Latin Dance, Sexteto Mayor and Tango Metropolis companies.
She is currently the choreographer and Director of ” Argentina mi Pais”‘ show. Currently, Assistant choreographer of the Ballet Folklorico Nacional, Argentina.

Romina Levin
Producer, Coreographer, Artistic Director, Dancer
Main dancer at ForeverTango, in their Broadway performances and touring internationally. Partner with Miguel Angel Zotto and assisted him at TangoX2 Company. Teacher and dancer of the Argentine Folkloric Ballet. Dancer at Hernan Piquin dance company, recipient of the Estrella de Mar Prize. She now produces her own show and promotes tango culture around the world as a tango teacher and international choreographer.
Valeria Solomonoff
Producer, Choreographer, Dancer
Valeria Solomonoff will be the 2017 Resident Fellow at the Center for Ballet and The Arts at Tisch, NYU. She received twice HOLA choreography awards for “Tango Fever” and for “Doña Flor y sus dos maridos”, two ACE nominations for “Tango Intimo”, an ACE choreography award for “Tango por Ellos” and two awards as best soloist at Argentine dance festivals. She danced for the president of Argentina at the Metropolitan Opera House, shared the stage with Placido Domingo and the Washington Opera and choreographed for a scene with Frank Langella for the film “The Caller”.
Karina Romero
Dancer
Studied in her native Argentina with tango masters and has performed around the world in tango shows and festivals. She is also a skilled organizer and motivator who directs the popular Dardo Galletto Studios in NYC and arranges workshops with many Argentinian teachers, including Carlos Copello, Graciela Gonzalez, Gabriel Misse and Analia Centurion.

Five-time prizewinner in the Cuban National Competition; Former member of Havana-based Camerata Romeu, Cuba’s premiere chamber orchestra; Played for sitting Prime Ministers and Presidents; Recorded CDs “Oasis”, “Akua Dixon”, and “La Bella Cubana” that garnered tCuba’s “Grammy”. Performed in major venues across Europe, Asia, Africa and America Adjunct Professor in the Music Education Department at Queens College 2005; Teaches the Alexander Technique at ACAT and at The Mannes College The New School for Music 2015; Certified Suzuki Violin from School for Strings; Graduate of the prestigious Amadeo Roldan Conservatory of Music (Havana, Cuba); B.M and M.M in Music Performance from Queens College.
YAEL ACHER “KAT” MODIANO , Composer, Music Director, Flute – Internationally award winning and a Fulbright Scholar, Yael Acher- Modiano received a BA in Classical Flute from the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem, lived in Copenhagen, and studied Composition at NYU in New York City, where resides currently. Modiano works with genres such as; Contemporary, Progressive Jazz, Classical, Tango, Free improve, Electronic-acoustic music for Choreography and live/composed soundtrack for Silent films.
IRIS ORNIG, Music Director, Double Bass – studied jazz and popular music in Switzerland and then at Guildhall School in London. She has performed at jazz clubs and festivals all over the U.S. and, now a NYC resident, can be heard in regular performances at the City’s top jazz clubs such as Blue Note, 55 Bar, Iridium, Zinc Bar and Kitano.
