Elizabeth & the Catapult, The Britpop Choir and Brooklynite Choir are joining forces to perform a show of sweet vocals, big harmonies and fun tunes. The evening will celebrate feel good, harmony focused music – singing in summer and spreading happy vibes!
Elizabeth & the Catapult
Years of performing in New York City clubs and touring with the likes of Sara Bareilles, Kishi Bashi, and Royal Wood have honed a natural theatricality that brings Elizabeth Ziman’s clever and thoughtful lyrics to life, a testament to exactly why this songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has been sought after for collaborations with Esperanza Spalding, Gillian Welch, Ben Folds, and more. All the world’s a stage, and Elizabeth writes the soundtrack.
The Berklee College of Music alumna, who performs as Elizabeth & The Catapult, has had songs featured in national television campaigns for Google, Amazon, and Sky TV, and on So You Think You Can Dance; has scored, with Paul Brill, a variety of international award-winning documentaries including Trapped, which premiered at Sundance 2016; and won the 2015 Independent Music Award for Songwriting, Folk category. Ever the insatiable performer and prolific songwriter, Elizabeth can often be found workshopping new material in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and in 2015 reality moved to the silver screen when she was cast by Anne Hathaway to perform in a film about New York musicians, Song One.
Always writing, Elizabeth has narrowed her vast collection of previously unrecorded material down to her fourth full-length studio album Keepsake, produced by Dan Molad of Lucius and featuring collaborations with Richard Swift (The Shins). Her most personal record yet, Keepsake is about nostalgia and transformation, hope tempered with regret— it’s a distillation of the human experience, a universe unto itself.
