Sam Haar is an electronic musician and sound artist currently living in Philadelphia. He is most well known for being one half of the live-electronic techno duo Blondes who have released multiple records with RVNG Intl. and performed at such places as MoMA, Panorama Bar, Mutek, and Unsound. His new solo work uses a similar intuitive performance practice as Blondes along with a meticulous attention to sound design to create organic, texture rich soundscapes. Derived from synthesis and field recordings and performed with custom software instruments, the music presents a field of abstract gestural sound built upon a warped and immersive architecture.
