Theme: Inspired by a man scared by his own reflection and shadow, this piece explores the truth behind the illusion of the self and its multi-dimensional shadows that project both on the self and others.

Manuel Vignoulle, formerly of Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet (New York) and Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève (Switzerland), has been assistant choreographer for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (New York), Het Nationale Ballet (Netherland) and State Theatre (South Africa).

He has been commissioned by Ailey II, Whim W’him, Makers Dance Company, Satellite Collective, 10 Hairy Legs, Ballet Arkansas, Chicago Repertory Ballet, Periapsis Music & Dance, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company Steps Repertoire Ensemble and others.
Manuel has performed his own work with Manuel Vignoulle – M/motions at Jacob’s Pillow, Fire Island Festival, Bryant Park (New York), Monterrey International Ballet Gala (Mexico), (Mexico), Summer Heat International Dance Festival (Tulsa, OK), The Dance Gallery, Pushing Progress Showcase Series, WestFest and The Latin Choreographer and in France, Switzerland, Mexico, Brazil and USA.

About Isaies Santamaria:

Born in France, Isaies Santamaria, started studying dance in Paris at « Latin and Tropical Dance School » where he learned Afro Caribbean styles including Salsa, Bachata, Mambo and Cha-cha. He has graduated as a teacher and been chosen to be part of the school’s company. After that, Isaies Studied at Rick Odums School of Ballet Jazz and performed pieces by choreographers as Geraldine Armstrong, Rick Odums,Millard Hurley and Pascalina Noel. Also, he has been part of the top16 in “You Can Dance,” the French television version of “So You think you can dance”.

For the past 4 years, Isaies moved to New York to broaden his horizon and vision to study 2 years at Peridance Capezio Center and performed pieces from choreographers as Igal Perry, Manuel Vignoulle, Bryan Arias, Enzo Celli and Ephrat Asherie.

As a freelancer, He is been working with New York companies such as the Dash Ensemble (Gregory Dolbashian), Manuel Vignoulle – M/motions, Mettin Movemen, Vivo Ballet (Enzo Celli), Seymour Collective, Zvidance and BrynCohn+Artists

He performed at Fire Island Dance Festival, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Booking Dance Festival at Jazz Lincoln Center, Bryan Park Modern Dance Festival, Brooklyn Dance Festival, Bam Fisher, Bam Next Wave Festival, Monterrey International Ballet Gala, Massmoca, Jack Crystal Theater at NYU, ADI Dance Festival, Kaatzbaan and many others.

As a choreographer He set a solo on students from Hartford University and Peridance Capezio Center as well a dance piece on NYU Tish School’s students for the summer intensive.

He is been assisting Gregory Dolbashian for many projects as « Intenso » by Daniil Simkin, NYU residency at Tish School and Manuel Vignoulle for the piece « Break through» for Ailey II.

He also worked in Fashion Models with Charlie Wan (Lean on me), Jeff Mikkelson (And Men Magazine) and Mark Shaw.
