Dieter Meier began his artistic career in 1968 as a performance artist and experimental film maker. Together with Boris Blank, he founded the band YELLO in 1979, who became synonymous with pioneering electronic pop music. The music videos by Dieter Meier featured in the early days of MTV. Besides other ventures, Meier has run an organic beef and lamb farm and vineyard in Argentina since 1997. To adequately introduce the conceptual artist, performer, elementary Situationist, poet, essayist, film maker and of course musician and lyricist, is no light task. Not to mention the beef herder providing organic meat and choice wines from the Argentinian estate successfully to restaurants in Zurich.
 
Adding another chapter to his career as musician, Dieter Meier continues on his latest project “Out of Chaos” with the autobiographical “picture book” out last autumn.
 
Dieter Meier sings new songs live accompanied by the “Out of Chaos” band, with a brilliant line-up including Tobias Preisig on violin, Nicolas Rüttimann, guitar, Ephrem Lüchinger on piano, Ralph Sonderegger on bass and Thomas Wydler on drums.
