Brian Degraw is known his work at the centre of the experimental electronic band he cofounded: Gang Gang Dance, with nine releases to their credit, the band has enjoyed critical acclaim and played to audiences across the globe for almost two decades.

In addition to his work in Gang Gang Dance, Degraw has two solo records to his credit: 2005’s Sonic the Warhol (Gavin Brown Gallery) and 2014’s Sum / One (4AD), has remixed the likes of FatyDL, Animal Collective, TV On The Radio and Battles, was a member of the seminal DC band The Crainium, collaborated with Rita Ackerman under the Angelblood banner and cofounded Ssab Songs with filmmaker Harmony Korine.

A multi-disciplinary visual artist Degraw’s work first gained prominence in the late 90s as part of the legendary Alleged Gallery. Currently he is represented by James Fuentes LLC and his work has been the subject of numerous solo and museum shows throughout the world. He has collaborated with fellow artist Spencer Sweeney, created multimedia performance art with Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and more recently created a series of portraits for the band Animal Collective’s 2016 release Painting With.
