LPR’s Music Director Brice Rosenbloom to be awarded Bruce Lundvall Visionary Award

This winter, LPR’s very own Senior Music Director and resident jack of all trades, Brice Rosenbloom, will be awarded the Bruce Lundvall Visionary Award at this year’s Jazz Connect Conference at Saint Peter’s Church in NYC.

The Bruce Lundvall Visionary Award was created in 2014 in honor of the esteemed jazz record executive who was a champion and advocate for so many jazz artists over the last four decades. The annual award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and vision in expanding the audience for jazz and who has made a real difference for the artists, the music and the audience. The award’s first recipient was SFJAZZ founder and executive director Randall Kline, based not only on his long career as a jazz presenter and champion, but also on the herculean task of establishing the SFJAZZ Center in 2013.

Brice has been a core part of LPR’s team since we first started in 2008. He helped curate an eclectic and culturally forward-thinking calendar from our inauguration and continues to defy any boundaries for an arts venue’s programming. Aside from his extraordinary work with LPR, Brice’s own music organization, BOOM Collective, programs concerts and festivals at various venues across New York City, including NYC Winter JazzFest, BRIC JazzFest, Undead Music Festival, The Town Hall, Celebrate Brooklyn, Littlefield, The Apollo Theater, and many more. LPR’s “artistically planned eclecticism” (Time Out New York) is just a part of Brice’s many thoughtful gifts to LPR and New York City as a whole.

Brice, congratulations! We are proud to have you as part of our team and wish you many more years of excellent music and programming, here and beyond.
