Jauz
Jauz is Sam Vogel, a Los Angeles-based EDM producer whose motto “music has no boundaries” is matched by his eclectic range of styles. He’s likely to produce chill trap as well as future garage, occasionally tipping into the more aggressive side of dubstep. His remixes add a bass-heavy contemporary club edge to everything from ’80s electro to ’90s hip-hop, as well as post-millennial pop. With his singles and collaborations during the mid-2010s, he became known as one of the pioneers of bass house, and his work later in the decade helped kick off the speed house subgenre. His ambitious, cinematic 2018 full-length The Wise and the Wicked touches on everything from bassline to electropop, while 2023’s Rise of the Wise channels the producer’s house influences while remaining fresh and futuristic.
