We’re excited to share the trailer for Follow, Poet, the Deutsche Grammophon debut from Ensemble LPR.
On it Ensemble LPR performs music by composer Mohammed Fairouz, including his Audenesque featuring mezzo soprano Kate Lindsay as well as readings by Pulitzer Prize winning poet and New Yorker poetry editor Paul Muldoon. The ensemble will perform Audenesque with Lindsay and Muldoon at (Le) Poisson Rouge on February 23.
The album also features Fairouz’s ballet “Sadat,” centering around scenes from the life of the late Egyptian president Anwar Sadat. Read more about this piece at Fairouz’s website.
The February 23 performance by Ensemble LPR will feature, in addition to Audenesque, the world premiere of David Handler’s Celtic Verses.
