David DubalWhen Wagner died, Verdi wrote: “Sad, sad, sad! … a name that will leave a most powerful impression on the history of art.” The strong connection between Verdi and Wagner has not gone unnoticed for pianist, author, Juilliard professor, and host of The Piano Matters David Dubal, he will be at LPR on April 21st discussing Wagner and Verdi in their 200th anniversary year. Dubal will also perform a bit from both Wagner’s and Verdi’s operas as he discusses their music and their lives. Aviva Aranovich, Rexa Han, Alexandra Joan, Jeremy Jordan, Anna Shelest, and Mathew Graybill will also perform.
