This cutting-edge concert features past prizewinners in the only national chamber music competition that evaluates both artistic excellence and innovative event design, held annually at the University of South Carolina. The event showcases four groups at the forefront of a wave of ensembles that recast the classical concert experience. Elements of film, video design, theater, dance, literature, and humor are woven together with new music and inventive arrangements of older works to create powerful shows that appeal to the ears, eyes, emotions, and intellect.
Featured ensembles, selected from the competition’s last three years (2013-15), are:
–CreArtBox – a multidisciplinary performing arts group based in New York City and Madrid
–The Fourth Wall – a hybrid arts trio based in Boston
–Earsight Duo – a percussion and video design duo based in Chicago
–C Street Brass – a theatrical brass quintet based in Pittsburgh, performing with guest pianist David Cutler

TABLE SEATING POLICY
Table seating for all seated shows is reserved exclusively for ticket holders who purchase “Table Seating” tickets. By purchasing a “Table Seating” ticket you agree to also purchase a minimum of two food and/or beverage items per person. Table seating is first come, first seated. Please arrive early for the best choice of available seats. Seating begins when doors open. Tables are communal so you may be seated with other patrons. We do not take table reservations.
A standing room area is available by the bar for all guests who purchase “Standing Room” tickets. Food and beverage can be purchased at the bar but there is no minimum purchase required in this area.
All tickets sales are final. No refund or credits.

SAVVY Chamber Showcase
CreArtBox
CreArtBox is an interdisciplinary chamber music group based in New York City. Their shows combine chamber music, dance, theater, video and lighting design to transform the traditional concert stage into an exploratory audiovisual canvas.
The structure of the event is non-narrative, operating as a traditional chamber music concert does by programming compositions that contrast and complement each other. However, CreArtBox challenges the normal ritual of the concert by providing seamless transitions between pieces through visual cues, dance, and poetic and dramatic interludes.
The Fourth Wall
The Fourth Wall explores a new hybrid of the performing arts in which musicians are also dancers and actors. Stretching the boundaries of instrumental performance, TFW commissions new interdisciplinary works and reinterprets established repertoire to make music that leaps off the stage. TFW is a favorite of audiences and critics alike at Fringe theatre festivals earning numerous awards and accolades across the country. The ensemble has been featured as performers and teachers at universities and conservatories from Alaska to Virginia and has performed in cafegymnatoriums at grade schools in the mid-west and mid-Atlantic.

Earsight Duo
Earsight Duo is a creative duo that pairs Peter Ferry’s daring percussion with Xuan’s virtuosic video art. Together, they create programs that unite music and visuals with extraordinary skill, humor, and sophistication. Earsight Duo is the First Prize winner of the 2015 Savvy Musician In Action Chamber Competition, and will be Artists-in-Residence at the University of South Carolina in Spring 2016.
C Street Brass
C Street Brass began as a small music project between five friends who are coincidentally the most handsome men ever to grace the earth. C Street Brass connects lovers of the arts from all walks of life around a unique and innovative concert experience. The group prides itself on being equally as comfortable in the sound world of baroque music as it is in dubstep. Through constant performance focused on discovery and growth C Street Brass continues to expand the limits of what is possible with five brass instruments.
