Ross Days

Ross is a Brooklyn-based comedian, actress, and international icon whose work includes hosting Pop+Politics at The Neuhouse, and most recently, opening for Pete Davidson at Governors Room. In 2020, they starred in the Jeremy O. Harris’ experimental play “BLACK EXHIBITION” at the Bushwick Starr playing Yung Kathy (Kathy Acker).

Michael Love Michael

As a Black child growing up queer and trans in the Midwest, pop artist
Michael Love Michael (pronouns: she/they) didn’t always feel encouraged to be
herself. Her emotional sensitivity, effeminate appearance and artistic
expression was shunned by those around her, so she retreated into writing
and storytelling, and when she finally got a desktop computer at 16, she quietly
made songs in her bedroom about her isolation, desperate for a way out of it.
As 2020 yielded a new revolution for marginalized voices, Michael, having broken
free of societal restraints, is determined to use hers to call attention to issues
affecting the LGBTQ community and beyond. Michael’s musical influences span
wildly from M.I.A., Bjork, Interpol, Nine Inch Nails and powerful female acts
including Aaliyah, TLC and Madonna, which can all be heard on her 2020 debut album, XO, and a string of singles teasing her upcoming sophomore LP. In 2021, Michael formed a live band to power up their singular sound, called the Lovers, featuring the talents of Reuben Butchart (keys/co-musical direction), guitarists Will Shishmanian and Caroll Prata and drummer Charlotte Kahn.

Michael’s lyrics and messaging hinges on the idea that the personal is one’s most powerful political tool. Michael’s ultimate aim, aside from helping people awaken to social ills so as to address them, is to encourage people everywhere — who’ve been made to feel like who they are isn’t enough — to unlock their voices and raise them to the rafters.

Demi God

Demi God is a New York City-based duo comprised of Lower East Side bassist/vocalist Brianna O’Hara and Bronx-based MC Charlie Sheena. O’Hara, who’s background in rock and classical blends with Charlie Sheena’s unique hip-hop stylings come together to make a sound all their own. With influences of rock, rap, metal, and electronica, Demi God delivers a sound nothing short of ‘devilishly heavenly’.

Demi God launches their project with the release of the music video for “La Petit Mort”, a dynamic track that invokes a message of surrender vs obsession. Filmed in the Lower East Side’s iconic Lucky 13 bar, Demi God transposes this darkened dive into a steamy, rated R pulpit over a beat & vocals satisfying enough to tickle the most wicked; taking them to church! Demi God is available on all music streaming platforms.

Medusa

Though it often employs unconventional sounds, like wolf howls and cheerleading chants, Medusa’s production is never different just for the sake of it. The nonbinary ‘revenge-pop’ artist chooses whichever instruments feel most visceral – whether that means a distorted 808, a riff on CPE Bach’s “Solfeggietto,” or overlapping news reports. Medusa transforms their own joy, fear, and agony into experimental pop music by any means necessary, and sees genre as a coMedusa is a nonbinary ‘revenge-pop’ musician based in Buffalo, New York. Their signature production – described by Soundriv as “a breakthrough collection of LGBTQ hymns,” and by Bucketlist as “the most inventive [expletive] music we’ve heard in a long time” – often features unconventional sounds like wolf howls and cheerleading chants. Medusa describes their style as “by any means necessary,” then makes good on the promise.

But the 26-year-old is never weird for the sake of being different. When they set out to distort an 808 bassline, or loop a news anchor’s voice into a ghostly choir, they’re really trying to perform a kind of emotional alchemy: the transformation of joy, fear, and agony into visceral pop music. After Medusa grabs their demons by the throat, they shove them into a time signature, hoping to imprison them in song. Then, like the infamous Gorgon herself, they return to their cave until it is time to defend themselves again.

Nussy Andrews

Nussy Andrews(She/They) is a singer and songwriter based in NYC. All of her work is self-produced and self-recorded. Her love of music stems from a childhood fixation with classic American standards such as the compositions of Cy Coleman and George Gershwin. She began composing in the indie music scene during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she recorded her debut album titled “I just keep losing my mind can you hold onto it for me.” With three albums now under her belt, Nussy has amassed a devoted fanbase due in part to social media apps such as “Tik Tok.” Nussy’s music often contains lyrical duality, vacillating between quippy sardonicism and brutal vulnerability.

Antpuke

The founder of new kiki brand Club Carry, Doll, DJ and composer Antpuke is on the frontlines of an exciting new scene embodied largely by femme-tastic, experimental techno, rap and hyperpop raves in NYC.
