Described in Free Times as, “A talented group that exemplifies the genre-obliterating direction of contemporary classical music,” Warp Trio is NOT your typical piano trio. Lying at the intersection of a chamber music ensemble, rock band, and art project, Mikael Darmanie (Piano), Ju Young Lee (Cello), and Josh Henderson (Violin) are pushing the boundaries of music consumption through inter-disciplinary collaborations and eclectic programming that includes electrifying original material, dynamic interpretations of popular music, improvisation, and unique takes on classical repertoire. Whether performing in a nightclub, gallery space or concert hall, Warp Trio is transporting audiences to the next level of concert experience.

Since their inception at the beginning of 2014, Warp Trio has maintained a broad range of repertoire ranging from traditional classical to their own original compositions and virtuoso arrangements of music spanning several different genres. They have performed as individuals all over the planet, and as a trio have begun to make their mark on the classical music scene with their energizing performances throughout the U.S.

Hip Hop Fusion music artist, educator, and dj, LiKWUiD (Stylez), is committed to using her gift of song to empower the portrayal of women in the entertainment industry. Ebony Magazine’s Sonic Boom web portal reports “she can rap circles around most of everyone’s favorite rappers But she also has a good ear for beats and melodies, so her songs always flow (no pun intended)…” In 2009, her words and experiences were published in the powerful book Girldrive: Criss-Crossing America, Redefining Feminism, that highlights the life and experiences of successful American women.
AOL Blackvoices (now HuffPost Black Voices) described LiKWUiD as one of the nation’s top female emcees. A former percussionist, she often performs with her 5 piece band, Likwuidity, who combine syncopated rhythms and sonnets that blend the raw sounds of east coast hip hop rhythms and the essence of southern soul.
LiKWUiD has performed nationwide with artists such as Slick Rick, 9th Wonder, Matt and Kim, Lyfe Jennings, Jazmine Sullivan, Talib Kweli, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Bow Wow, Rah Digga, The Last Poets, DJ Evil Dee, and world renowned comedian Cedric the Entertainer. She is a member of the Hunger Division and often collaborates with Lower Eastside dynamic production duo 2Hungry Bros.
As a dj, she has curated music for Photoville and the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival’s Family Day. She is a resident dj at Silvana and Angel of Harlem. As a songwriter, her credits include placements with HBO Latina Films, IFC Films, Oxygen Network, MTV and several indie projects.
