We’re very excited to be streaming this show tonight. Huang Ruo’s newest opera “Dr. Sun Yat-sen” was set to debut in China in late 2011, and was shut down by government officials for unknown reasons. It has since been performed in Hong Kong and elsewhere to rave reviews. Tonight we present arias and excerpts from “Dr. Sun Yat-sen” as performed by Ensemble FIRE, Momenta Quartet, Jiang Fang-Tao, soprano, and Laurence Broderick, tenor. LPR is very happy to be presenting this special performance tonight.
