I really can’t believe it has been five years! It is only when I take some time to reflect on how much le Poisson Rouge has evolved and how many great shows I have seen that it makes a bit more sense.

The following is a list of some of the bands that played the most memorable shows I have seen in the past five years:

Marissa Nadler and Alela Diane [Brooklyn Vegan photos]

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour [Paper review]

Sonia Wieder-Atherton

El Guincho

Iggy Pop and the Stooges [NPR video]

Atoms for Peace [video]

Kronos Quartet performing Clint Mansell’s “Death is the Road to Awe”

Max Richter debuting his recomposed version of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons [concert poster]

Ensemble LPR playing Gavin Bryar’s “Sinking of the Titantic”

Sébastien Tellier

Thee Oh Sees [photos]

Arthur H

Garth Stevenson

Elysian Fields

Wildbirds & Peacedrums

Looking forward to many, many more goosebump-inducing music!
