Akilah Hughes is a writer, comedian, and YouTuber residing in Brooklyn, NY. She’s been a digital correspondent for MTV, Fusion, Comedy Central, and more. A Sundance Labs Fellow, Razorbill, an imprint of Penguin Random House, is publishing a collection of her personal essays. Her comedic YouTube channel, “It’s Akilah, Obviously!” has amassed more than 150,000 subscribers.

Matthew “Levee” Chavez is the creator of Subway Therapy, an ongoing immersive project in the subway stations of New York City that has been awarded the Municipal Art Society’s 2017 Brendan Gill Prize and the Demos Transforming America Award. A believer in the therapeutic power of communication, he has worked in the field of education in a variety of different roles, including at a magnet school for students with autism. He lives in Brooklyn

Dava has being a nationally touring comedian for over a dozen years performing in clubs, colleges and moldy church basements after Narcotics Anonymous Meetings. She’s the voice for promos on Lifetime TV, had a recurring character on the hit show [H]ouse, M.D. on Fox and is currently producing a feature film, “Two Little Bitches,” which was shot in Brooklyn last spring with an all female crew. Dava resides in Brooklyn with her husband, daughter and a menagerie of menagerie of animals, one of which may, or may not be, an emu.

Robin Gelfenbien is the self-proclaimed Ambassador of Fun and an NYC-based storyteller, writer and comedian. She’s a three-time Moth Story SLAM winner who has performed on PBS, RISK!, Mortified and countless other shows. She’s also shared the stage with Hannah Gadsby, Trevor Noah and more.
Robin is the Creator and Host of the storytelling series and podcast, “Yum’s the Word,” that features her homemade ice cream cakes. The show has been named a New York Times and Time Out New York Critic’s Pick. Guests have included Tim Gunn, Jason Biggs, Joy Behar and stars from “Orange is the New Black.”
New York Magazine called her solo show, “My Salvation Has a First Name: A Wienermobile Journey,” “the highlight of the Fringe” and Time Out New York gave it 4 stars.
She’s performed her original comedy songs at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and on Sirius Radio. She’s also been featured in Marie Claire magazine and she starred in a commercial directed by Spike Lee.
