Yum’s The Word” is the only show that blends old-school fun with modern-day storytelling. Each month comedic storyteller Robin Gelfenbien hosts this unique event replete with Mad Libs, nostalgic candy and her homemade ice cream cakes.*

Naomi Ekperigin is a comedian, writer and actor based in New York City whose Comedy Central half hour special premiered this month. Recent credits include Late Night with Seth Meyers, Adam Ruins Everything on truTV, and Barely Famous on VH1.

Gastor Almonte

Gastor keeps busy. He is an award-winning storyteller, standup comedian, show producer and host. He’s an active member of the New York City comedy scene, and can be seen nightly at various clubs on the east coast. He’s appeared on Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening, the New York Times’ featured The Liar Show and The Story Collider. As the host of Stoops2Stages, a weekly interview series, Gastor interviews various HipHop artists and comedians.

Danny Artese

Danny is the creator and host of The Day I Should Have, a limited-engagement storytelling series in NYC has run for 2 seasons. He is a Moth GrandSLAM winner and instead of following him on Instagram, he’d like it if you say hello when you see him. 

Bonnie Levison

Bonnie Levison works with The Moth Corporate and Community Programs as a storytelling coach and produces comedy and storytelling shows. She co founded The Nantucket Comedy Festival, hosted radio show Anything Goes with Kim and Bonnie, and hosts CT based storytelling show, The Story Barn, currently in its 5th year. Her stories have been featured on the Central Park Summer Stage, The Moth Podcast and Moth Radio Hour. Bonnie’s children have threatened to defriend her on Facebook if she tells another story about them.

Robin Gelfenbien is the self-proclaimed Ambassador of Fun and an NYC-based storyteller, writer and comedian. She’s a three-time Moth Story SLAM winner who has performed on PBS, RISK!, Mortified and countless other shows. She’s also shared the stage with Hannah Gadsby, Trevor Noah and more.

Robin is the Creator and Host of the storytelling series and podcast, “Yum’s the Word,” that features her homemade ice cream cakes. The show has been named a New York Times and Time Out New York Critic’s Pick. Guests have included Tim Gunn, Jason Biggs, Joy Behar and stars from “Orange is the New Black.”

New York Magazine called her solo show, “My Salvation Has a First Name: A Wienermobile Journey,” “the highlight of the Fringe” and Time Out New York gave it 4 stars.

She’s performed her original comedy songs at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and on Sirius Radio. She’s also been featured in Marie Claire magazine and she starred in a commercial directed by Spike Lee.
