In its 30th year, national not-for-profit organization Women in Music (WIM) will close out a monumental 2015 in celebration at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street) for its highly recognized annual holiday party & fundraiser on Wednesday, December 2nd at 7pm. This year’s event is presented by Nielsen Music and sees support from ASCAP, SESAC, BMI, Synchtank, MPress Records, Merch Cat, CD Baby, DoNYC and many more. The renowned event will feature a silent auction, complimentary drinks, and hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Meatball Obsession and Hint Water. A veritable who’s-who of music industry executives, rising professionals, acclaimed musicians and more will be in attendance. In addition to networking, guests will enjoy sets by DJ Shannonigans and DJ Kelly The Bruce as well as a performance by rising artist EVVY, who’s genuine, inspirational sound features honeyed vocals and glittering synth-heavy production.
 
Founded in 1985, Women in Music’s mission is to advance the awareness, equality, diversity, heritage, opportunities, and cultural aspects of women in the musical arts through education, support, empowerment, and recognition through seminars, panels, showcases and achievement awards that celebrate the female contribution to the music world and strengthen community ties.
