Transmuting rhythmic glitches, sweeping strings, and existential lyrics, Tom Rogers is taking on a brash excursion into modern dance. His flavor of Cinematic Trance kicked off with debut release “Sector 5” climbing to #4 on the Beatport Trance Top 100. With DJ support from Sean Tyas, David Forbes, Artento Divini, Mike Saint-Jules, Kaeno, and many more, Tom continues to develop his music & progress further along his path.

Since 2010, he has performed with local and international talent such as Kyau & Albert, Ronski Speed, Eco, Thomas Datt, Victor Dinaire, James Gill, and Heavygrinder to name a few. He has received support from blogs including USA Trance Movement, EDM Insider, Syncronize.me, The Beatmill, and Undrgrnd Sound.

With performances under his belt at Santos Party House, LOVE NYC, Morgan Room, and Le Poisson Rogue among others, he has studiously learned the art of reading the crowd and heightening the overall texture of the night.

Gabriel Egö

Starting out as a clubber first, I quickly fell in love with the underground dance music scene by religiously going to club events in NYC with friends circa 2001-2002. My first clubbing experience at club Exit (now Terminal 5) was all that was needed to fuel my desire. Music turned into my savior and escape from the real world. The more I went to clubs to hear all genres of underground artists, the more my passion grew. Music became my life 24/7. Then I touched my first vinyl record and was instantly hooked on being in control of the music. I spent countless hours spinning on friends equipment until I decided it was time to get gear of my own.

After years of DJ’ing as a hobby, learning on turntables and transitioning to CD’s, I would spin at friends houses and small gatherings. Then my friends and I started doing some of our own small house parties or renting out a small local hall to play at. We were all music lovers first and although I had aspirations and dreams of making a career from it, I never thought I would have to opportunity to play a live DJ set in a nightclub in NYC. Then it happened. In 2006 I was asked to do an event with a friend and as scared as I was, I said yes. It was a magical night and that opened up some new opportunities which lead to holding residencies at clubs/lounges in NJ, having a long residency at Pacha NYC and doing parties in NYC at China Club.

As things started to peak, everything came to a halt around NYE 2008 where I needed to take a break from DJ’ing to focus on helping my family. My father became ill with cancer, could not work any longer and that lead to my slow fade from the scene. I didn’t think I would be away from it for as long as I was. Fast forward to about 5 years later in July 2013 when my father lost his battle with cancer. It was a tough time for me but my love for music pulled me up off the floor. The only time I was ever felt truly happy was when I had music in my life. It has been and will continue to be my life. My goal and passion are to keep feeling the happiness I get from music for myself and to share that with others.
In 2015 I started to religiously go clubbing again and reintroduced myself to the scene. By October of 2015, I had my first gig after 6 years of being on the shelf spinning a 6.5 hour set. I was nervous to play for people after such a long time away but having old friends their made it a comfortable transition. It was really what I needed. That night opened up new opportunities and I am thankful for being able to do what I love again. DJ’ing is my addiction. There is no other excitement or happiness like it for me. I am looking forward to rocking some more dance floors. I have since opened for Jordan Suckley and Arctic Moon at Cielo. I have played peak time at Pacha as well as having a couple of gigs in Miami during WMC 2016. After WMC I opened for the legendary trance artist Steve Helstrip, aka The Thrillseekers. I recently spun for the Silk Music Label at the Silk Music Showcase #350. It has been a wild road but I feel like this is how it was meant to happen. I am truly grateful to have these opportunities to share my passion. To anyone who has ever been delayed, sidetracked or has lost focus on their passion, I urge you to keep your dreams alive!! Even if you have to put them on hold for a while, as long as you have a great passion for it, you can bring it back to life!!

I am a fusion of new and old school club music from house to trance, ready to turn on a dance floor with bassy music similar to the sounds and vibes that have influenced me along the way.

SAKET

[Cosmic Academy, EDM Collective]

Music overcomes differences and unites everyone.

SAKET’s sets are based on the same belief. Never afraid to experiment, his music selections are groovy, dark and happy at the same time irrespective of different genres in the music scene.

Originally from India and now based in Washington, DC, SAKET comes from the family of musicians and developed his love for the tech house/techno music. His sets are unique in a way that you start tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realizing it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date.

The project began with a serendipitous meeting in NYC after Karan and Brian moved to the city and set out to explore the indigenous musical landscape. Their collaboration organically evolved from impromptu late-night acoustic guitar jams into even more late-night electronic house parties, with Karan on the decks and Brian on the electric guitar. Karan favors tracks by Eric Prydz, Mat Zo, Jeremy Olander, Guy J and Miley Cyrus, while classic guitar heroes like John Petrucci, Shawn Lane, and Les Paul heavily influence Brian’s sound to create a unique fusion that keeps audiences dancing for hours.

STASKI

MastaChief

At 5:02am on June 27th, 1992, The Voyce of NYC was born. Voyce DeSouza aka MastaChief was born and raised in New York City. Just as everyone else involved with any kind of art, his calling found him early on in his lifetime. With a name like Voyce the fact that he would inherit a love for spoken word could be considered cliche. Chief took to the microphone in 2006 with a fury that allowed him to share stages with prolific MCs such as Professor Griff (of Public Enemy), Treach (of Naughty By Nature), Easy AD (of Cold Crush Brothers), Chubb Rock, Just Ice, NYOil (formerly Kool Kim of The U.M.C.’s), Hakim Green (of Channel Live), The Black Dot, Hasan Salaam, Rebel Diaz, SpiritChild, Division X, P.E.M.G. and the list goes on.

In the summer of 2010 he was introduced to the Rave Culture by Michael Moscoso aka Michael Phase. Michael offered the tips and tricks needed to understand what it was to perform to an Electronic Music audience and was the first artist that believed in his ability, allowing them to share numerous stages together. Chief, while still remaining loyal to his roots began to venture out on his own as a separate entity, developing an on-stage energy and aggression that could be rivaled by none. This allowed him to host numerous events on the east coast and to rock the mic behind renowned artists such as Scot Project, Lisa Lashes, Filo & Peri, Electrixx, Christopher Lawrence, DJ Dan, HeavyGrinder, DJ Funk, Tommie Sunshine, Frankie Bones, Lenny Dee, Heather Heart, Dank, plus many more and many more will continue to come.

Recognizing that the duty of an MC is to back up what the DJ is doing has kept his style beneath the “annoying” sound the many others can produce. His ability to adapt to any situation (mixing style, genre, technical difficulties, crowd energy, stage set-up, etc.) separates his stage presence. The biggest asset that he has is the desire to not move the crowd but rather to move WITH the crowd; reading their vibe and acting accordingly. With many screams and hands in the air under his belt and many more tricks and surprises up his sleeve, MastaChief comes with the promise that enhancing the experience of any stage will happen with ease.
