2012 has been an unprecedented year for electronic music. Ancient predictions loom that the end may be near, or at least some winds beginning to blow. With all this in mind, OTS has called upon a handful of NYC’s finest electronic music purveyors to stake their claim as the #1 sound in town.

With revolving drink specials all night, and an insane roster of talent, expect the deepest selections, the most exclusive dubs and above all else, the unexpected.

Old in the game and highly regarded as an international source of cutting edge talent, Percussion Lab will be in the building cooking up some sonic concoctions of potent rhythms.

Steady grinding in this cash burning mecca, Broke City will be hustling their fresh take on the grey area between traditional house and ghetto sounds.

With one of the deepest and adventurous catalogs of original material, and artist connections from here to Moscow, Astro Nautico will be moving water and sky to lure your aural sense into a stir.

Then of course, the home team, on.the.sly sneaks in to drop the consistently eclectic and engaging assault of rhythms with that NYC boom-bap attitude.

Citizens of NYC, we all call on you to stand up, get down, sip slow and move fast. Come judge for yourself who has the #1 sound in town.

Full artist line ups TBA, but if you know the brands you know the deal.

This is a general admission event in The Gallery at LPR.

Obey City

{ LuckyMe / Astro Nautico }
http://soundcloud.com/obey-city
by combining elements of r&b, house, hip hop and uk funky, he succeeds in creating a hybrid club sound that is getting picked up by the likes of Rustie, Baauer and Hudmo. Obey City’s forthcoming ep will drop on Hudmo’s LuckyMe label.

Dunes

knomad

knomad has been in the shadows and on the move learning new tricks and developing his craft. Never one to sit still for too long, his sets reflect this in constant genre juxtaposition. knomad’s mood and set depends on the night, and his respect for beats at all tempos is clearly evident. Only on the grid for a short time, knomad has performed on bills with james blake, jamie xx, ital tek, dave q, braille and others. As time rolls on expect a dedication to purveying quality riddims and curating exceptional musical adventures.
