David Aladashvili, hailed as a “sensitive virtuoso born for the stage,” began taking piano lessons at age eleven and at age fifteen was accepted into the prestigious Tbilisi Special Music School where he earned Georgia’s Presidential Scholarship for Piano Performance. In 2007, David was invited to join the pre-college division of The Juilliard School in New York City. David continued his studies at Juilliard for the next six years where he was awarded several honors, including the Susan W. Rose scholarship. While at Juilliard, David studied under Matti Raekallio and Jerome Lowenthal, receiving his Bachelor’s in 2012 and his Master’s in 2014.

David has participated in many international competitions, given recitals and appeared as a soloist with orchestras across Europe and America. He participated in Georgia’s International Competition for Young Pianists in 2001 and Moscow’s Vladimir Spikanov International Festival in 2005. David was awarded the Grand Prix at the Nikolai Rubenstein Piano Competition in 2006 in Paris. He has also participated in Sag Harbor’s Vladimir Nielsen Piano Festival in 2008 and 2009 and Salzburg’s International Summer Academy in 2011 and 2013 where he studied with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Dmitri Bashkirov.

David gave his Carnegie Hall debut in 2010, when he performed a solo recital at the world-renowned Weill Recital Hall. Always aware of his roots and intensely connected to his country, David dedicated the concert to the 21-year-old Georgian luger who had met his tragic death in the qualification round for the Olympic games just days before. Performances in recent seasons include Chopin’s Second Concerto under Nikiloz Rachveli with the Georgian National Symphony Orchestra and a celebratory evening organized by David consisting of international music students brought together in a small orchestra to perform a program of all-Georgian music at The Juilliard School.

Well-known in his native country for his musical outreach to young people and his ongoing charitable musical activities, David is now pursuing his outreach programs to make classical music more accessible to young people on an international scale by giving recitals and organizing educational programs through his own not-for-profit organization, Young for Young. The organization invites young artists from around the world to perform for youth in need. David is an appointed guest artist of the Georgian government’s fine arts initiative.

David’s debut album entitled “Opus 13” features an eclectic and inviting grouping of new and old works organized around the number 13, the date of David’s birthday in April. The disc includes works of Scriabin and, Schumann, (his demanding Opus 13, the Symphonic Etudes) as well as thirteen new compositions written especially for David by thirteen promising young composers. In keeping with the theme, the album was released on Friday, December 13th, 2013, The New York Times called his renditions of Scriabin and Schumann “elegant and atmospheric” while the album boasts “plenty of delights and characterful surprises.”

David’s upcoming appearances include performances in US, Europe, Concert tour in South Africa as well as performances across his home country of Georgia, touring for the Al Bustan International Festival of Music and Performing Arts, and playing special recitals in Toronto as well as at Teatro alla Scala in Milan with Anita Rashvelishvili, with whom he regularly performs around the world.

David currently lives in New York City.

Filip Pogády has been praised by the press for the beauty of his tone and his “lightning-like virtuosity”. He has earned a reputation for performing a wide range of music across the genres, from the classical violin repertoire to Rock and Electronic.

Filip Pogády gave his solo debut with orchestra at the age of 11 at the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna after winning the 1st prize at the Tsusuki Violin Competition as the youngest contestant.
He participated three times at Austria’s nationwide music competition “Prima la Musica” and won the 1st prize each time. He was also honored with special prizes by the Austrian String Society and the Raiffeisen Bank for extraordinary results at this competition.

After being invited by Pinchas Zukerman personally to study with him, Filip Pogády followed his advice and earned his Master’s Degree in Violin Perfomance at the Manhattan School of Music, where he was awarded a full scholarship. Since then he has performed in concert venues such as the Rudolphinum Prague, Wiener Konzerthaus, Slovak Philharmonic Hall, Tel Aviv Opera House, Brucknerhaus Linz, Ed Sullivan Theater and the Apollo Theater.
Pogády gave his solo debut with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra at age 17 and has played with this orchestra regularly since. Collaborations with other orchestras include the Prague Chamber Orchestra, Bohemia Symphony, Konzertverein Linz and Vienna Conservatory Orchestra.

TV apperances include the “Late Show” with David Letterman and a guest starring on Louis CK’s popular TV-show “LOUIE” where he acted as a subway violinist.

As a firm believer that music should be available to everyone, Filip Pogády joined Yehudi Menuhin’s “Live Music NOW!” Foundation, which is dedicated to bring music to orphanages, nursing homes, prisons and hospitals. Pogády has played over 20 recitals for “Live Music NOW”.

Pogady decided to take this concept to the next level and has been performing the Sonatas and Partitas by J.S.Bach in the New York City subway throughout his studies at the Manhattan School of Music until present.
“Most of these people have never heard this kind of music before, and yet it touches them on a basic human level, because this music is just SO good”, he says.

Born in Bratislava (Slovakia), Filip moved with his family to Austria as a child and began his violin studies at age 7. Just one year later he was admitted to the Bruckner Conservatory Pre-college in Linz. He gave his first recital at age 10.

Pogády plays on a 1704 Alessandro Gagliano violin, generously loaned to him by an anonymous donor.
