BODYLAB is determined to strike out and expand the limited scope of Old School EBM in NYC with the specific aim of shining a spotlight on acts of the Old School/Anhalt global scene that do not receive the exposure they deserve. We hope to move you and make you sweat & stomp while introducing you to your latest Industrial Dance Floor essentials
DJ EISDRIVER came up through the NYC Industrial Scene in the early 2000’s with his project Eisdrive which is an on going if sporadic undertaking. He developed his love for the craft of compelling dj sets from his time in residency at the long gone Korova Milk Bar in the East Village. Afterwards he joined Assimilate in Philadelphia where his percussive sets were a hit with discerning Philly rivet heads. Most recently EISDRIVER was part of INSURGENCE, NJ’s renegade Industrial night held at Oops Lounge & then QXTs which left an indelible mark on the NJ scene. In August 2016 he created BODYLAB as an effort to bring NYC the dose of Old-School EBM it was missing…the battle for EBM Supremacy rages on.
DJ STRYKK9 began his career as a DJ began his during the HorrorFx era at Makos on South St in Philly. Since then he has spun at Mode Mondays at The Raven Lounge, Old World Industrial in Quakertown PA and more recently Reset Society in Allentown, Spellbound in Philly as well as QXT’s in NJ. He founded his own night (de)Molition which is credited with bringing Philly it’s fix of the hard, muscular electronic body music that DJ STRYKK9 sets have become famous for. Joining BODYLAB he’s now on a mission to bring his sound to ears in NYC and he’s a welcome addition to BODYLAB’s sonic arsenal.
