Oscillations with Donny McCaslin Oscillations with Donny McCaslin

Brooklyn-native Jason Lindner is a child-prodigy pianist who’s recent focus has been on synths and electronic keyboards. The leader of the acclaimed trail-blazing electro-groove trio Now Vs Now is also the keyboardist-synthesist on David Bowie’s Blackstar album. Lindner was Meshell Ndegeocello’s keyboard man and briefly Lauryn Hill’s MD and has performed with many greats of jazz as well, including the legendary Roy Haynes.

Oscillationsis Lindner’s latest musical quest into live interactive electronica. This special installment features David Mason (aka Listening Center) creating beats using drum machines and modular synths, John Davis (Nerve) on highly-effected electric bass, Paulo Stagnero on electric and acoustic hand percussion and Donny McCaslin on tenor saxophone.

Donny McCaslin is a 3-time Grammy nominee for best soloist. His band (featuring keyboardist Lindner, drummer Mark Guiliana and bassist Tim Lefebvre) is the band and the sound on David Bowie’s Blackstar album and Donny is the main collaborator. McCaslin extends the great tenor saxophone tradition into the future.
